Top ten largest hospitals in Washington by bed size in 2021

The cities of Seattle and Spokane are home to four and two of the ten largest general hospitals in the state of Washington, US, respectively. The remaining top four hospitals are located in Everett, Vancouver, Tacoma and Olympia.

Hospital Management has listed Washington’s top ten largest hospitals based on bed size as of 2021, using GlobalData’s research.

1. Swedish Medical Centre-First Hill Campus – 697 beds

The Swedish Medical Centre-First Hill Campus in Seattle is the largest hospital in Washington, with 697 beds.

It is the largest of the seven hospital campuses operated by Swedish Health Services, a non-profit health system based in the Seattle metropolitan area in Washington.

The Swedish First Hill Campus is rated as high-performing in adult procedures and conditions related to kidney and heart failure, lung and colon cancer surgery, knee and hip replacement, pneumonia, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

2. Providence Sacred Heart Medical Centre – 644 beds

The 644-bed Providence Sacred Heart Medical Centre, located in Spokane, is the second largest hospital in Washington. It is also home to the Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital.
